The YWCA Metropolitan Phoenix would like to give a special THANKS to one of our dedicated volunteers: Sharon

Sharon has been a YWCA volunteer for three years and can be found helping out wherever needed. She helps at the front desk, serves lunches, distributes food from the weekly food pantry, sets-up for events and facilitates bingo! Sharon is also a part of the kitchen band, which is a musical group organized by the seniors that utilizes kitchen utensils as instruments. The kitchen band has performed at events for the YWCA Valley West Center as well as neighboring senior centers and nursing homes.

Why does she continue her service to the YWCA?

“I enjoy helping others and people in need, especially here [at the YWCA Valley West Center] because it feels like home.”
