Since 1994, YWCA has hosted Tribute to Leadership to recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of leaders in our community who strive to improve the lives of women and girls through leadership, advocacy, and community service. This year’s event will recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of those distinguished individuals who embrace the YWCA’s mission of Eliminating Racism and Empowering Women. The 25th Annual Silver Anniversary YWCA Tribute to Leadership event is scheduled for Thursday, February 21st at 10:30 AM to 1 PM.
If you know a woman who exhibits and embodies the mission of the YWCA to eliminate racism and empower women and promote peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all, please submit a nomination for her today!
The YWCA advocates for justice worldwide for women and their families. Candidates should be leaders who champion civil rights, diversity, social justice, and programs to empower women.
Categories Include:
- Advocacy Leader
A woman who is making substantial contributions to mobilize, overcome barriers, and serves as a champion of public good. - Community Service Corporate Leader
A woman who, as a corporate leader, exhibits passion and initiative and empowers women. A woman whose accomplishments inspire commitment to create positive change by empowering women and/or promoting gender equality. - First Responder Leader
A woman who has served or is currently serving with the police, fire, or other emergency services, and has promoted equal rights and the empowerment of women. - Racial Justice Leader
A woman who serves as a champion for diversity and civil rights.
