It’s tax season again! When filing your taxes, it is important to know what your options are and one of the choices you have is VITA and TCE.
VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) and TCE (Tax Counseling for the Elderly) are free tax preparation services offered to the community. Who qualifies for this service? You are eligible to file with a VITA/TCE site if you meet at least one of the requirements below:
- Individuals who make under $55,000 per year
- Individuals with Disabilities
- Individuals who are 60 years of age or older
If you meet any of the 3 requirements you are able to visit any of the locations in Maricopa County for assistance with your 2020 tax filing. Due to COVID-19, some cities in Maricopa County have not continued their VITA/TCE services for this year. Below is a list of the locations that are available, please use the links directly below:

Each location may have different procedures therefore, before your visit please make sure of the following:
- Some locations are by appointment only
- Masks are mandatory at all locations
- You may be required to bring your own pen
- You will need ALL of the following:
- Social Security Card or ITIN Card/Letter
- Picture ID (State, Drivers’, Passport)
- Prior year’s tax return
