Annual Giving Campaign/Tax Credit

The Arizona YWCA Metropolitan Phoenix is dedicated to Eliminating Racism, Empowering Women and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all.

Your gift to the 2018-19 Annual Giving Campaign Supports the Following Programs:

OWN IT: Financial Education

YWCA’s Own It Financial Education Program works to empower men and women of all ages, backgrounds and socioeconomic status to “own their power” through improved financial decision making. Statistics show a direct correlation between poor financial decision-making and poverty. Own It provides a comprehensive foundation for financial independence, by teaching students how to save money, budget and improve their credit.

Last year your contributions provided long term results for our financial education graduates.

  • 76% of participants developed and used a family budget.
  • 68% of participants reduced personal debt and began a savings plan.

Senior Programs and Meals On Wheels

The YWCA Senior Programs have provided vital services to over 2,000 West Valley residents annually since 1976. Our YWCA Meals On Wheels Program delivers meals to home-bound seniors and disabled adults, providing wellness checks and many times the only human interaction a senior has that day.

Last year, with your support, the YWCA provided:

  • Provided 96,852 meals to seniors and disabled
  • Provided 10,560 rides to seniors and disabled
  • Offered 1,507 programs and activities at Senior Centers

Women’s Empowerment and Young Women’s Forum

Since 1858, the YWCA, a voice for women, has been committed to advocating for key policies to meet the needs of women and girls. We believe education and information on various issues facing women, provided through our Women’s Empowerment Luncheon Series and the Young Women’s Forum, offer critical skills and inspiration to women in our community. Your contributions help to provide these quality programs.

YWCA Empowerment Series

YWCA Empowerment Series educates and empowers women through presentations by exceptional local and national women, focusing on issues facing women and families in Arizona, such as quality healthcare, wage equity and Women’s leadership.

Young Women’s Forum

Young Women’s Forum provides a dynamic setting where young emerging professionals in the community can connect with one another, share strategies and create support networks.
